November 2026 Newsletter

November brings crisp autumn days, colorful leaves, and the cozy comforts of the season. As we settle into fall and look ahead to Thanksgiving, it's a wonderful time to appreciate the people who make our lives a little brighter. This month, we're sharing a gentle movement to try, holiday schedule updates, a Pilates tip, and a little history behind the method we love.

Giving Thanks

As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to take a moment to say thank you. Whether you've been with us for years or have joined us more recently, we're grateful you've chosen Zenergy to be part of your wellness journey. It's a pleasure to support you in caring for your body and well-being, and we're so glad you're part of our studio community.

We hope your holiday is filled with good company, meaningful moments, and plenty of reasons to be thankful!

Exercise of the Month: Cat-Cow

Cat-Cow is a gentle, flowing movement that helps improve spinal mobility and encourages awareness of your breath and posture.

How to do it:

  1. Begin on your hands and knees, with your hands beneath your shoulders and knees beneath your hips.

  2. Cow: Inhale as you gently arch your back, lower your belly, open your chest, and lift your tailbone.

  3. Cat: Exhale as you round your spine upward toward the ceiling, gently drawing your abdomen inward and tucking your chin.

  4. Continue alternating slowly, moving comfortably with your breath.

Why we love it: Cat-Cow encourages spinal mobility, helps ease everyday stiffness, and provides an opportunity to reconnect with your body. Move gently and stay within a comfortable range of motion.

Pilates Tip of the Month:

Focus on quality, not quantity.

In Pilates, how you perform a movement matters more than how many repetitions you complete. Move slowly and with control, paying attention to your alignment and how your body feels. If an exercise feels too challenging, a smaller range of motion or a modified version can help you maintain proper form and get more out of your practice.

Pilates Fact of the Month:

Did you know? During World War I, Joseph Pilates began developing ideas for exercise using resistance. While working with people who had limited mobility, he is believed to have experimented with attaching springs to hospital beds, allowing patients to exercise while lying down. These early innovations helped lay the groundwork for the spring-based equipment used in Pilates studios today!
